I've used the 3 for 9 months before upgrading to the Pro last month. I own both Arctis 3 and Artic Pro, and so far, I don't have any issues with them, yet. Sure, there are things they could have done better here and there, but it can be ignored to consider their headsets the best. If you're asking for Steelseries headsets in general, I think they have done enough to earn my respect. Thanks for your time to read this, hope to hear from some of you cuties in the comments :) How durable are the SteelSeries headsets? Do they break often? Does the mic last long before it starts going crazy? And also, how does the headset sound like when connected to mobile phone? Since my previous headset lasted for 5 years and is still going, I have pretty high expectations. I can buy it for 99€, which makes the whole thing not so expensive, but of very respectable quality. I also read around the net that the Arctis 5 has amazing sound quality and that SteelSeries also upped their surround sound game, which is a go-go for me. And I need a good quality microphone because I tend to communicate a lot ingame (gotta now if the enemy is rushing B or going mid doors :P). I would've gone for the Arctis 7, but I don't like wireless headsets, justifiably because microphones on them are pretty bad quality. They looked pretty neat and I also really liked how you could just unplug the cord from them and just carry them like a wireless headset. Due to Razer ruining their credibility and totally busting their chances with me by not supporting all of their headsets with their Synapse 3.0 software, I reckoned I should just go for SteelSeries, since I've never heard my friends having trouble with them (I was the only Razer pleb in the bunch).Īs I was looking through headsets, I stumpled upon the ArcEdition headset. But, since I'm afraid they might die very soon, I decided it was time to try something else. So, for the past 5 years I've had the Razer Kraken 7.1 headset and they still haven't broken down.
